Italian giants hope Aleksandr Kolarov will follow
JUVENTUS hope to persuade Manchester City’s Aleksandar Kolarov to follow Carlos Tevez to Turin.
Argentine striker Tevez last night showed off his No 10 shirt after a medical for the Italian club.
And Serbian defender Kolarov is next on the Old Lady’s wishlist.
Kolarov, 27, cost City £16million when they signed him from Lazio three years ago.
And while City are not pushing him out of the door, they may be tempted to do business at the right price, with Gael Clichy established as first-choice left-back.
Kolarov said: “I am in contact with Antonio Conte at Juventus, so we’ll see what happens.
“I just want to play regularly.”
Tevez, 29, has agreed a £10m switch. He said: “I am very happy to be at Juve as this is a great satisfaction for me.
“Juve wanted me more than Milan.”
Tevez will be the first player to wear the No 10 shirt since legend Alessandro del Piero.
City defender Micah Richards is also being courted by an Italian club — but has been told he still has a future at the Etihad.
Richards, 25, is wanted by Inter Milan.
But City are ready to offer the England hopeful a new four-year deal.
