Top diplomats from Russia and the United States will continue Syria talks on Saturday in Geneva, a source in the Russian delegation said Friday.
“Talks between the Russian and US delegations are not over yet and will continue tomorrow,” he said.
US Secretary of State John Kerry, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, and the UN-Arab League envoy for Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi met in Geneva on Friday but reached no agreement on how to deal with the Syrian civil war, in which 100,000 people have already been killed, according to UN estimates.
The three diplomats will again meet on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, which convenes in New York on Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Kerry will discuss Syria with French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and UK Foreign Minister William Hague in Paris on Monday, Reuters reported, citing a French foreign ministry spokesman.
