Mike Fleiss Marries Laura Kaeppeler

He’s been a matchmaker for dozens of eligible young singles, but as for his own status, Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss is a bachelor no more.

Fleiss, 49, wed former Miss America Laura Kaeppeler, 26, Sunday evening at his Malibu home.

And in true Bachelor spirit, the ceremony was officiated by the show’s host and the groom’s longtime pal Chris Harrison.

The Bachelor‘s go-to jeweler Neil Lane designed the engagement ring and wedding bands.

Kaeppeler’s engagement ring is more than five carats and features a central round diamond in a handmade platinum tulip design setting accented by smaller round diamonds.

The wedding bands are both handmade in platinum and Kaeppeler’s is set with diamonds on all three sides.

Says Lane of the couple, “It’s great to see two people that I really like so much in love. I wish them a lifetime of happiness.”

Earlier in the day Fleiss and Kaeppeler both Tweeted about the upcoming ceremony.

“I’m the luckiest man on earth!!!” Fleiss wrote.

“Today is the happiest day of my life!” Tweeted Kaeppeler, who now goes by the name Laura Fleiss.

“What a beautiful night. Congrats Laura & Mike! Love you guys honored to be there,” Harrison, 42, Tweeted on Monday, along with a photo of the ceremony he posted on Instagram.

This is the first marriage for Kaeppeler, a former Miss Wisconsin who was crowned Miss America in 2012. It’s the second trip down the aisle for Fleiss, whose 24-year marriage to his high school sweetheart, Alexandra Vorbeck, ended in 2012.

Fleiss’s Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise is now in its 28th season, and his new series, Bachelor in Paradise, premieres Aug. 4 on ABC. The spinoff will feature former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants who want a second chance at finding love.
