The actress, who had her third child when she was 42, says now she’s more mature she no longer feels guilty about being a working mum.
“When I was younger and became a mother I didn’t think I could do anything else and was completely overwhelmed,” she explains.
“I’d feel guilty and afraid if I worked, and guilty and afraid about not working. So it’s awesome to have another baby now I’m a grown-up.”
That’s the great part of growing up. You start to accept yourself
But the Kill Bill star, who had daughter Maya, 15, when she was 28 and son Levon, 12, at 31 with ex-husband actor Ethan Hawke, says things are much easier with her third child, 21-month-old Rosalind (nicknamed Luna).
“I’ve finally gotten to a much more relaxed place,” she says.
“That’s the great part of growing up. You start to accept yourself.”
Thurman is engaged to French billionaire Arpad Busson who has two sons with former supermodel Elle Macpherson.
She tells OK! magazine USA: “I’m happier than I’ve been for many, many years. I’m trying to live as peaceful a life as possible.
I guess I’m less jaded now than I’ve ever been, definitely less than when I was younger.”
