Ukraine’s Interior Ministry to look into Odessa deaths


The chief investigative department of Ukraine’s Interior Ministry will look into clashes in the southern city of Odessa which resulted in the deaths of 46 people, press service for Ukraine’s General Prosecutor’s Office said Sunday.

“For all-encompassing, objective and unbiased investigation, I have decided to transfer this case to the central office of Ukraine’s Interior Ministry, particularly to the main investigations directorate,” the press service cited the deputy public prosecutor Nikolay Banchuk, RIA reports.

Odessa region Prosecutor’s Office was previously charged with the investigation of the case.
