A meeting that was scheduled to be held between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and al-Mustaqbal movement leader ex-PM Saad Hariri was postponed due to the sensitive political situation in Lebanon, Russian sources said.
The talks had been set for Thursday.
The sources told al-Joumhouria daily that the meeting between Lavrov and Hariri would have led to different interpretations locally amid the failure of parliament to elect a new president.
They did not rule out another meeting between them in light of the developments on the presidential elections.
Hariri last met with Lavrov in Paris in January.
