A 4-year-old girl was shot dead during a road rage incident in the US city of Albuquerque, local police said.
An unidentified gunman attacked a vehicle with the child and her parents, but only the girl was hit by fire.
“We are begging for the communities’ help. This is a complete disrespect of human life. This is something that should not be happening in Albuquerque, New Mexico,” Albuquerque Police Department Chief Gorden Eden said on Tuesday, as quoted by the KOAT broadcaster.
The local police said the parents did not know the shooter and the case constituted a road rage incident.
The local authorities are currently searching for the suspect’s vehicle, closing several lanes of Interstate 40.
