Security forces arrested on Monday a Saudi prince on drug charges, reported al-Jadeed television.

It said that he was arrested at Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport as he attempted to leave the country back to Saudi Arabia on board a private jet.

He had 40 packages filled with drugs in his possession.

They were packed in his luggage, weighing about two tons, which aroused suspicions among the security forces and led to their discovery.

The identity of the prince was not disclosed and he has since been referred to the concerned authorities for investigation along with four of his companions.
