More than 150 Istanbul flights canceled due to snow

More than 150 flights have been canceled by Turkish airline companies amid expectations of snowfall in Istanbul. 

In a statement on its official website, Turkey’s flagship carrier, Turkish Airlines, announced that 131 flights scheduled from Istanbul’s Atatürk and Sabiha Gökçen airports on Jan. 22 and Jan. 23 had been canceled amid expectations of heavy snowfall.

Onur Air also announced the cancelation of six domestic and international flights for Jan. 22 and four flights for Jan. 23.

Seven Atlas Global flights scheduled for the same dates were also canceled.
