Dozens of jihadi fighters have been killed and injured in an ambush conducted by the Syrian Army, backed by the paramilitary National Defense Forces, in western outskirts of Al-Salamiyah city, located nearly 33 km southwest of Hama.
A military source told Al Masdar News that government troops clashed with a group of fighters from the notorious Jabhet Fateh al-Sham (formerly Jabhet al-Nusra) while attempting to infiltrate into Al-Kafat village.
The defending force also seized a considerable quantities of arms, including two US-made TOW anti-tank missiles.
