Three killed, more than 100 wounded in bomb attack in Turkey’s Elazığ


Three police officers were killed and more than 100 were wounded in a bomb attack targeting police headquarters in the eastern province of Elazığ on Aug. 18, Doğan News Agency has reported.
 A number of ambulances were dispatched to the scene. Dozens of the wounded were reportedly in critical condition.
Initial footage showed severe damage to the building. The blast also created a hole in the scene.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Fikri Işık said the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) was behind the attack.
“This attack shows that PKK is the tool of global powers,” Işık told Anadolu Agency.
