The Russian Air Force continued their bombing campaign over the northern Homs countryside on Tuesday night, targeting the jihadist rebels of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Nusra Front) and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham at several villages inside the Houla and Al-Rastan plains.

According to a Syrian military source, the Russian fighter jets struck the jihadist rebels at the villages of Al-Rastan, Talbiseh, Al-Ghanto, and Teir Maleh, destroying several armored vehicles and militant hideouts in the process.

The Russian Air Force has specifically targeted the northern countryside of the Homs Governorate lately because of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham’s offensive movements around the strategic Al-Zara Power Plant.

Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham are expected to launch a new offensive to capture the Al-Zara Power Plant from the Syrian Arab Army in the coming weeks.
