She’s always had grand ambitions – from making it as a pop star to cracking America…

But Katie’s ego appeared to reach new heights last week when she announced she would charge fans £75 a ticket to see her on tour, promoting her latest autobiography Reborn.

Fans were quick to react to the hefty price tag, which includes a two-course meal and a drink, but not the autobiography itself – with one fan commenting online: “I’d love to meet you again, shame I can’t afford to.”

It’s a risky move for the mum-of-five, who was recently slammed for allowing her kids on social media, as it comes less than a year after she was forced to cancel an online Q&A session after only selling 13 tickets.

But pals fear the 38-year-old is so determined to stay in the spotlight, she’ll ignore the fact that she could be setting herself up for yet another fall.

A source says: “Katie has made a lot of money from being famous – but she’s even more determined to stay in the limelight.

“She believes she can make it on to the 2020 Olympics dressage team and win a gold medal; she also wants to get on the cover of Playboy again, have a hit single and break America.

“On top of that, she’s determined to land an OBE one day. She’s on an all-out mission to get her star power back.”
