BREAKING: Panic at Buckingham Palace as air ambulance lands and police swarm


A HELICOPTER has landed right in front of Buckingham Palace as numerous cops surround the area this afternoon.

It reportedly landed outside the Queen’s residence just after the changing of the guard had finished at midday.

Witnesses have described a more heavy than ususal police presence in the area.

Twitter users immediately took to the social media website to speculate about what may have happened.

One person Tweeted: “A trauma helicopter just landed at Buckingham Palace. What’s the news?! #GODSAVETHEQUEEN.”

Witnesses reported seeing paramedics treating an injured person and the Met Police confirmed a car and a bike crashed.

A spokesman said: “We were called shortly before 12 noon today to reports of an RTC between a car and a cyclist on Constitution Hill.

“The cyclist, believed to be a male, was taken to hospital with what are thought to be life-threatening injuries.

“Officers await an update on the condition of the male rider who has been injured.

“The road is closed as enquiries continue.”
