The jihadist rebels suffered heavy losses in the Golan Heights this past weekend after they launched three failed offensives to capture government-controlled villages of Hadher, Tal Humariyah and Tal Taranjeh.
Led by Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, the jihadist rebels were unable to break-through the Syrian Arab Army’s second line of defense at Tal Taranjeh, despite capturing Tal Humariyah during the first offensive.
During their third offensive, the jihadist rebels suffered their worst defeat at the hands of the Syrian Arab Army, losing a total of 34 militants at Tal Taranjeh.
Following the conclusion of the third jihadist offensive, the Syrian Arab Army’s 90th Brigade launched a successful counter-assault, which resulted in their forces recapturing Tal Humariyah.
All-in-all, the jihadist offensives in the Golan Heights were a failed initiative; especially, after they lost an estimated 70+ combatants in 3 days.
