Kate Middleton is reportedly “thrilled” brother-in-law Prince Harry has found love with Meghan Markle.

The Duchess of Cambridge (35), who married Prince William in 2011, is said to be happy about Harry’s love life and finally met her during the actress’ trip to London.

Markle, who stars on US legal drama Suits, was pictured in the UK last week and making her way to Kensington Palace, where she was staying with her boyfriend of several months.

“Kate is thrilled that Harry has finally found a girlfriend who looks like being a keeper,” a source told Woman’s Day magazine.

“She only wants the very best for her lovely brother-in-law – and Meghan looks like she fits the bill.”

Harry’s relationship with Markle is breaking the mould when it comes to royal girlfriends as there is no official support from the family’s legal or media team until you marry in, but Kate has been doing “all she can to support” Meghan as she adjusts to life in the royal fishbowl.

It’s worth noting that the British royal family have only ever issued statements pleading for privacy with girlfriends on two occasions – the late Princess Diana and Kate Middleton, both of whom married into the family.

And Harry’s much-lauded statement slamming the “sexist and racist undertones” of stories regarding his new relationship is being seen as a sign that things are serious between them.
He previously dated Chelsy Davy for five years and Cressida Bonas for two, before splitting in 2014.

Royal expert Marcia Moody told heat magazine that the 32-year-old royal is extremely private and will avoid making any public appearances with his other half as long as he can.

“At the moment, the wining and dining will be behind closed doors as they get to know each other. Harry doesn’t have regulary date spots as it could be a security risk,” she said.
