URGENT: Syrian Army Troops Cut off Rebel-Held Aleppo, Renewing Siege

DAMASCUS, SYRIA (4:05 A.M.) – Minutes ago, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a powerful assault in southwestern Aleppo, targeting the jihadist-held Sheih Sa’eed District near Al-Rashiddeen.

Backed by Harakat Al-Nujaba (Iraqi paramilitary), the Syrian Armed Forces stormed the northwestern axis of Sheih Sa’eed, where they were reportedly confronted by a large Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) contingent.

Intense clashes are now underway in Sheikh Sa’eed, as the Syrian Armed Forces and their allies look to capture this imperative district located in Aleppo’s southwestern corridor.

In addition to the battle at Sheikh Sa’eed, the Syrian Armed Forces are heavily shelling the Aqrab area near the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project – no firefights have been reported.
