The royal family is back on the clock. After Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, made her official return from maternity leave to visit the Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden in London yesterday, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry have popped by Edes House in Chicester in Sussex. For today’s occasion, Markle continued to take a monochromatic approach to a working royal’s wardrobe, the unexpected item being a Hugo Boss leather skirt.
Markle donned a head-to-toe emerald Givenchy look this past July for her first official engagement in Ireland, and today’s look struck similar tones. Markle’s & Other Stories silk blouse ($100) was a ladylike foil for her skirt, pulling double duty and providing contrast.
Boss’s leather skirts first found legs on another royal—Queen Letizia of Spain wore a colorblock version this past May—and Markle followed suit. Suede neutral tone Stuart Weitzman stilettos grounded the look, as did her Missoma personal jewelry.
