Baku / 13.06.19 / Turan: On June 12, a meeting of the heads of the military departments of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia was held in the city of Gabala (210 km west of Baku).
According to the official report, Zakir Hasanov, Hulusi Akar, and Levan Izoria discussed the situation in the region, issues of cooperation and ensuring the security of the regional infrastructure.
The parties also discussed the prospects for trilateral cooperation in the military field.
Following the meeting, a protocol was signed and a statement was made to the press.
“The meeting is useful for both our countries and the region as a whole. We continue to do everything possible to ensure stability, peace and security,” said Turkish Defense Minister Akar.
He stressed that relations between Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia reached the level of strategic partnership
