Armenia’s exports increased 11.7% in May, while imports reduced 10.5%

YEREVAN, June 26. /ARKA/. Armenia’s exports totaled $208.3 million in May 2019, the National Statistical Committee reported on Tuesday. This is 11.7% more than it was recorded in May 2018. According to the statistical report, the country’s exports shrank 0.9% in Jan-May 2019, compared with the same period a year before, to $960.8 million.

Imports shrank 10.5% in May 2019, compared to the previous month, to $395.1 million, and 3.4% in Jan-May 2019, compared with the same period a year earlier, to $1 890.3 million.

Armenia’s foreign trade turnover for the first five months of this year amounted to $2 851.1 million showing a 2.6% year-on-year decline.
