The Arabic-language website of the Russian Sputnik news agency quoted a military source as saying that over 1,000 of elite Tahrir al-Sham terrorists also known as Asaeb al-Hamra, most of them from Chechnya, together with hundreds of Turkistani Party terrorists as well as several suicide bombers have attacked the Syrian Army’s military positions in the town of al-Hamamiat in Northern Hama.
The source pointed to the tactical withdrawal of the Syrian Army troops to their military positions in al-Hamamiat region, and said that the Syrian Army fully cleansed al-Hamamiat town and its outskirts after dispatching troops and massive military equipment to the region and starting a heavy attack on the terrorists which left over 40 militants dead and at least 13 vehicles destroyed.
Meantime, the Russian and Syrian fighter jets and the Syrian Army’s artillery units pounded the military positions and movements of the terrorists in the towns of al-Latamineh, Kafar Zita, al-Zuka, al-Arbaeen and Khan Sheikhoun in Northern Hama and Southern Idlib, he added.
The source noted that the terrorist groups intend to cut Mahradeh-Saqilbieh Road by taking full control over al-Hamamiat strategic town.
Meantime, after sustaining heavy defeats in al-Hamamiat, the terrorists launched rocket attacks on residential areas in the town of Karnaz, Sheikh Hadid and Mahradeh in Northern Hama which resulted in injury of a number of civilians.
The Syrian Army’s air defense systems also repelled two consecutive waves drone attacks by terrorists on their military positions, and destroyed all the militants drones before they could hit their targets.
In a relevant development on Tuesday, the Syrian Army backed by the country’s air force thwarted fresh attacks by Tahrir al-Sham aimed at regaining control of the regions the terrorist groups have already lost, inflicting heavy losses on the militants.
The Syrian Army troops engaged in fierce clashes with Tahrir al-Sham and other terrorist groups who had attacked the Syrian Army’s military positions in al-Hawiz axes in Sahl al-Ghab region in Northwestern Hama and al-Qasabiyeh in Southern Idlib, inflicting heavy casualties and losses on them and forcing others to retreat.
The Damascus Army’s artillery and missile units also heavily pounded the military positions and movements of the terrorists in al-Sukhar and Kafar Zita in al-Jobin, Tal Malh and al-Hawija in Northwestern Hama, destroying several of their centers and positions.
Meantime, the terrorist groups in Northern Hama also launched heavy rocket attacks on residential areas in the towns of al-Aziziyeh, al-Rasif and al-Hamamiat.
The Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper also reported that Syrian Air Force pounded the centers and military positions of Tahrir al-Sham and other terrorists near Khan Sheikhoun, Harash Basanqul, al-Hobait, Kafar Batih, outskirts of Ma’areh al-Numan, Khan al-Sabal, Ma’araya and Abedin in Southern Idlib, and destroyed several hideouts and military vehicles of the terrorists.
In a relevant development on Monday, the Syrian Army’s ground and air forces pounded and destroyed the terrorists’ military positions and centers in Northern Hama and Southern Idlib in response to militants’ attacks on safe zones in Northern Syria.
The terrorists of Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at and Turkistani Party stationed in Southern Idlib launched rocket attacks on residential areas and military points of the Syrian Army in the towns of Jourin and al-Reyhanieh in Sahl al-Ghab region in Northwestern Hama.
Meantime, the Syrian Army’s artillery and missile units heavily pounded the terrorists’ military positions and movements in the towns of al-Latamineh, Kafar Zita, Tal al-Sukhr, al-Jisat, Latmin, al-Arbaeen, Hasaraya, Abu Raideh, Talmaleh, al-Jobin, Qastoun, Zizoun and al-Sohn in Northern Hama and Southern Idlib, destroying several of their military positions and hideouts together with their military equipment as well as killing and wounding a large number of them.
The Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper, meantime, reported that the Syrian Air Force conducted several air raids on terrorists’ military positions in al-Tamana’eh, Kafar Sajneh, Jorjnaz, Talmaneh, Ma’ar Shourin and outskirts of Khan Sheikhoun in Southern Idlib, destroying their military positions and equipment.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) also reported that a massive military convoy of the Turkish Army comprising 30 military vehicles, tanks, military equipment and logistics supplies has arrived in Northern Idlib via Kafar Lousin crossing in Northern Idlib.
