YEREVAN, October 12. /ARКА/. Armenia’s consumer prices in September 2019 increased by 0.5% as opposed to September 2018, according to the latest numbers, released today by the National Statistics Committee (NSC).
It said the consumer prices in January-September 2019 grew by 1.6% when compared to the same period in 2018.
According to the NSC, during the reporting period, prices for foodstuffs and soft drinks decreased by 1.4%, but prices for alcohol and tobacco products increased by 4.7%. Prices for clothes and shoes increased by 9% and utilities by 1%.
At the same time, prices for healthcare services grew by 1.4%, for transportation services – by 2.2%, for education services – by 3.7%, for restaurants and hotel services – by 1.6%, and prices for various goods and services by 0, 4%.
At the same time, prices dropped for communication services by 0.1% and for culture and leisure services by 1.2%.
