YEREVAN. November 6. /ARKA/. Armenian consumer prices in October 2019 grew by 0.6% from the previous month of September, according to the latest numbers, released today by the National Statistics Committee (NSC).
It said when compared with October 2018, consumer prices in 2019 October increased by 0.9%. At the same time, in January-October 2019, the consumer price index was 2.1% when compared to the same period in 2018.
According to the NSC, prices for food products and soft drinks in October 2019 did not change as opposed to October 2018. At the same time, prices for alcohol and tobacco products increased by 4.7%, prices for clothes and shoes increased by 2.2%, and utilities upped by 1%.
Prices for health services upped by 1.6 percent, education fees grew by 3.7%, prices of restaurants and hotels – by 2.1%, and prices for various goods and services – by 0 ,5%.
Communications prices in October 2019 when compared to the same period in 2018, dropped by 0.1% and prices for culture and leisure events fell by 1.1%.
