WB’s financial assistance instruments to fight coronavirus may be available to Armenia as well


YEREVAN, March 12. /ARKA/. On March 10, Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan held a meeting with World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Sebastian Molineus, Grigoryna’s press office reported. It said the meeting was attended by the World Bank Country Manager for Armenia Sylvie Bossoutrot.

The parties discussed the implementation of joint programs, as well as the process of developing industry strategies. The WB Regional Director for the South Caucasus thanked Grigoryan for the constructive cooperation and expressed satisfaction with the reform process.

Molineus highly appreciated the steps taken by Armenia to combat coronavirus and stated that the WB has approved financial assistance instruments of various formats, which, if necessary, may be available to Armenia.

Summing up the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister praised the WB’s involvement in the implementation of the reforms undertaken by the Armenian government and thanked for the cooperation.
