Two new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Armenia, schools and universities to be closed


YEREVAN, March 13. /ARKA/. Two new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Armenia, Armenian Health Minister Arsen Torosyan said. He said they were hospitalized in an infectious diseases hospital.

These new cases of coronavirus have brought the total number of confirmed cases in Armenia to six.

Torosyan said that these two people are those who had close contact with the citizen of Etchmiadzin, who was diagnosed earlier with coronavirus. These two people had been isolated yesterday.

“They had an increase in temperature, in connection with which they were checked and tested positive for the diseases. At the moment they are feeling well and have no temperature,” he said.

All kindergartens, schools and universities will be closed tomorrow, March 13 due to the situation with the coronavirus, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Thursday during a live broadcast on his Facebook page.

He said that he was interrupting his vacation, which began on March 10. “I will hold a meeting in the government yesterday to assess the current situation with the coronavirus,” the prime minister said. -0-
