Armenia’s confirmed COVID-19 cases rise to 8216, 15 new deaths in one day

YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. As of 11:00 on Thursday, May 28, there were 3,287 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report. In total, 8,216 confirmed COVID-19 infection cases and 113 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 442 new infection cases and 15 deaths have been recorded since yesterday’s report.

The youngest among those COVID-19 patients who died yesterday was 43 and the oldest 92 years old.

There are also 44 coronavirus-positive people who have died from other diseases since the beginning of the coronavirus spread.

According to the center, 54,931 tests for the coronavirus have been carried out in Armenia. Some 4,772 COVID-19 patients are being treated now.

The state of emergency, introduced in Armenia on March 16, 2020 and extended to May 14, is again extended until 17:00 on June 13 inclusive.
