YEREVAN, June 15. /ARKA/. As of 11:00 on Sunday, June 14, there were 6,214 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report. In total, 16,667 confirmed COVID-19 infection cases and 269 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 663 new infection cases, 133 recovered patients and five deaths have been recorded since yesterday’s report.
The five people who died yesterday were three women aged 69, 56 and 85 and two men aged 63 and 69. All had chronic diseases.
As many as 91 people infected with the coronavirus have died from other diseases. According to the report, 82,324 tests for the coronavirus have been carried out in Armenia. Some 10,093 COVID-19 patients are being treated now.
A state of emergency was declared in Armenia on March 16, 2020 to curb the spread of the coronavirus, and then extended three times. The latest decision, dated from June 12, extends the state of emergency until 17:00 July 13.
