Russian Security Council discussed the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan


Moscow/18.07.20/Turan: On 17 July  the Russian President Vladimir Putin and permanent members of the Russian Security Council discussed the situation on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, noting Moscow’s readiness for mediation efforts, said the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov following the meeting via video communication.

“They exchanged  in detail views on the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Extreme concern was expressed in connection with the ongoing escalation, the urgent need for the parties to ensure a ceasefire was emphasized, as well as the willingness to mediate,”  the TASS news agency quoted Peskov.
