Baku 18.08.20 / Turan: Statements of the Armenian military-political circles about the possibility of striking the Mingachevir hydroelectric power station, and then the city of Ganja, testify to the “terrorist essence of Armenia,” reads the statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry dated August 17.

The head of the separatist regime of Nagorno-Karabakh announced his intention to move the capital of the region and local “state structures” to Shusha.

“The restoration of the right to a safe and dignified return of the Azerbaijani population expelled from their homeland to their places of permanent residence in Nagorno-Karabakh, including the city of Shusha, as well as in all other occupied territories, runs like a red thread through the entire process of the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict”, reads the statement.

Armenia is also taking other illegal actions in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan with the aim of changing the infrastructure of the Sarsang reservoir, building roads from Armenia to Karabakh, and populating this region with Armenians from other countries.

“Armenia must stop testing the patience of the international community, and first of all the Azerbaijani state and society, by its illegal actions and provocative statements. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry unequivocally states that Azerbaijan is determined to take all necessary steps to restore its territorial integrity and sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders, protect the constitutional order, ensure the security, rights and freedoms of its citizens, using all the opportunities provided by the Constitution of Azerbaijan and the international right,” noted in the statement.
