YEREVAN, September 9. /ARKA/. Armenian Minister of Justice has relieved the director of the National Archives non-profit government organization Amatuni Virabyan of his post, the press secretary of the Ministry of Justice Lusine Martirosyan said in a Facebook post.
She said Virabyan was sacked after a study of the National Archives’ books revealed numerous financial breaches.
According to her, the ministry began a study to verify the legality of the activities of the non-profit government organization after receiving many complaints. It also asked the State Revenue Committee for information on tax audits carried out at the organization.
According to Martirosyan, according to the information received, Virabyan kept accounting with such violations that led to a reduction in taxes, as a result of which tax obligations were not fulfilled in a timely manner. –
