YEREVAN, September 25. /ARKA/. There were 13,422 more jobs in Armenia in August 2020 than in August 2019, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a government meeting on Thursday.
“Compared to July, the number of jobs increased by 4,046. This trend continues along an increase in salaries. In August 2020, compared to August 2019, the salary fund increased by AMD 10.974 billion,” Pashinyan said.
He said that compared to July 2020, the salary fund in August decreased by 3.663 billion drams and it is necessary to analyze the reasons for this.
The premier said that the average salary in August 2020 rose by 13,671 drams compared to August 2019, however, compared to July 2020, it decreased by 5,973 drams.
Head of the State Revenue Committee Edward Hovhannisyan said in his turn that the difference with July is due to the fact that it is a vacation month, which is why the income received by citizens is slightly higher, which is also seen in comparison with August and July. ($ 1 – AMD 485.42). -0–
