YEREVAN, September 28. /ARKA/. Artsakh President Arayik Harutyuyann at a briefing on Sunday spoke about the positions lost in the battles with Azerbaijan.
“For 15 hours already a large-scale war has been going on along the entire length of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border. I want to answer a few questions: first, was this war expected? Of course, from the point of view of the expectation of war, we did not need much: just follow the foreign policy of Turkey and Azerbaijan and the statements of their leaders in recent months. Everything was clear to us – yes, we were expecting a war,” he said.
Harutyuyann stated that the enemy offensive was deployed along the entire front.
“Results: yes, there are lost positions in the direction of Talish and on the south wing. There are dozens of dead, dozens of wounded. Dozens of killed and wounded among civilians. The handwriting is the same as during the April war, but the scale is incomparable,” he said.
The Aretsakh president said that yes – the positions are lost, and it is possible that they will be lost more, “but we will definitely also win positions.”
“The outcome of the war is predictable for us. The plans that the enemy has will fail,” he said.
Aggravation of the situation in Artsakh
On September 27, at 07:10, Azerbaijani troops launched an offensive along the entire length of the line of contact in Artsakh. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces are shelling, among other things, peaceful settlements, in particular, the capital of Artsakh, Stepanakert.
