Armenian and Russian foreign ministers condemn extra-regional countries’ efforts to shatter peace and stability in region


YEREVAN, October 1. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Wednesday, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

It said Mnatsakanyan presented to Lavrov the latest developments resulting the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan along the entire line of contact with Artsakh.

In this context, Mnatsakanyan strongly condemned the direct military-political and military-technical involvement of Turkey in the hostilities conducted by Azerbaijan both on the Artsakh-Azerbaijani line of contact and on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

He also expressed concern over the recruitment of foreign terrorist fighters by Turkey, their transfer to Azerbaijan and their involvement in hostilities.

The two men called unacceptable the steps of extra-regional countries to shatter peace and stability in the region. -0-
