YEREVAN, October 19. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called for the recognition of Artsakh’s (Nagorno-Karabakh) independence.
“Artsakh has never been part of independent Azerbaijan and the territorial claims of the latter are not substantiated by international law. Prevent genocide, recognize Artsakh,” Pashinyan wrote in his Twitter microblog.
Azerbaijan and Turkey do not want to give up their genocidal policy, Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with France24.
“I repeat again that even now there is no other solution to this problem except the application of the“separation for the sake of salvation”formula. Because Azerbaijan, now with the support of Turkey and terrorists, has set itself the task of committing the genocide of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh,” he said.
The prime minister recalled that he had proposed that such a settlement formula should be found that would be acceptable for the people of Armenia, the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, the people of Azerbaijan.
“However, Azerbaijan continued its position, saying that the solution to the issue should be acceptable only for Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people, which, in fact, means that Nagorno-Karabakh should be liberated from the Armenians through ethnic cleansing,” Pashinyan said.
