YEREVAN, June 22. /ARKA/ Armenia has taken over the chairmanship of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation organization (BSEC). A delegation of Armenia headed by vice-speaker of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov is in Tirana, the capital of Albania, participating in the 51st session of the BSEC Parliamentary Assembly.
According to Armenia’s parliament press office, the chairmanship was handed over to Armenia after the BSEC meeting. It said Armenia as the Chairman-in-Office of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation will lead the Organization in the first half of the year 2018 within the framework of the concept aimed at the enhancement of the regional economic cooperation which derives from the BSEC statutory objectives and the very spirit of the organization.
The Armenian delegation comprises also MPs Gagik Minasyan, Gevorg Gergisyan and Vahe Enfiajyan. The Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) includes 11 states of the Black Sea region.
