YEREVAN, December 4. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan will pay a working visit to Moscow on December 7 for a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told a press briefing on Thursday.
She said the foreign ministers will discuss international and regional issues, the whole range of bilateral relations with a special attention to paid to the implementation of the statement signed by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia of November 9 on the cessation of all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
In her words, the emphasis will be on providing humanitarian assistance to residents of Karabakh, restoration of infrastructure and unblocking of transport corridors in the region.
According to her, the issues will be discussed in the context of the agreements that were reached during the visits by the Russian delegation to Yerevan and Baku on November 21.
Also, interactions between the two countries and coordination of positions will be considered in the formats of the EEU, CSTO, CIS, UN, OSCE, Council of Europe and other international organizations.
Zakharova described the relations between Armenia and Russia as ‘allied’ backed by ‘intensive political dialogue at the highest level.”
