YEREVAN, July 1. /ARKA/. The government of Armenian has approved today another assistance program for Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in the amount of 8.8 billion drams.
The acting Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan recalled that before last autumn’s 44-day war Armenia used to provide Artsakh with an interstate credit.
He said after the war the need for assistance increased and various measures were taken to assist Artsakh citizens and its authorities.
He said out of 8.8 billion drams, some 1.2 billion drams will be used to pay Artsakh residents’ utility bills and the rest will be provided to Artsakh as an interstate loan.
In total, Armenia’s assistance to Artsakh is 83 billion drams, of which 53 billion drams as part of 14 assistance programs. ($1 – 495.86 drams).
