YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired today the first meeting of the National Security Council after the formation of the new government. Under part 2 of article 155 of the Constitution, the National Security Council determines the main directions of the national security policy, Pashinyan said.
According to him, the purpose of the meeting was to discuss a string of issues and future actions. The meeting discussed plans for the development of the Armenian armed forces, state programs for the development of weapons and military equipment, and the issue of improving the efficiency of combat alert duty.
Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan reported on the active implementation of new ways to improve the effectiveness of the organization of security. -0-
