YEREVAN, December 17. /ARKA/. A video record has appeared in the Internet Wednesday night showing how a group of Armenian servicemen is being taken out of the encirclement from the territory of the villages of Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd of the Hadrut region, the press service of the Armenian defense ministry reports.
“The video record corresponds to reality. The measures were taken thanks to the active steps of the Russian military group carrying out a peacekeeping mission in Artsakh with the direct participation of the commander of the contingent, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov,” the statement says.

On December 15, video materials filmed by the Azerbaijani side about the capture of 100 Armenian servicemen began to appear on social networks and the media.
On December 16, the Artsakh ministry of defense announced that the previous evening, under unclear circumstances, it lost contact with the Defense Army units deployed in the direction of the villages of Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd, Hadrut. It is noted that the search work continued all night and in the morning.
On the same day, Artsakh Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan said that, according to the preliminary data collected by him, a subdivision of about 60 servicemen had gone missing in the direction of the Khtsaberd village of the Hadrut region these days. According to him, it is highly likely that they are the ones who were captured on the video published by the Azerbaijani side.
Later, Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan stated that in the direction of Khtsaberd, several dozen Armenian servicemen were captured by the Azerbaijani side, and currently the Ministry of Defense is clarifying all the circumstances.

On November 9, the leaders of the Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a statement on the cessation of all hostilities in Artsakh. According to the document, the parties stop at their positions. The city of Shushi, Agdam, Kelbajar and Lachin regions pass over to Azerbaijan, with the exception of a 5-kilometer corridor connecting Karabakh with Armenia. A Russian peacekeeping contingent will be deployed along the contact line in Karabakh and along the Lachin corridor. Internally displaced persons and refugees are returning to Karabakh and adjacent regions, prisoners of war, hostages and other detained persons and bodies of the dead are exchanged.
