YEREVAN, October 3. / ARKA /. One civilian was killed and four others were wounded as a result of the late evening Azerbaijani rocket attack on Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, according to Karabakh human rights defender.
“Two residential buildings were seriously damaged. Fortunately, at that moment there were few residents in them,” he said in a Facebook post.
Armenia has not yet used its full military potential to respond to Azerbaijan, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, a spokesman for the Armenian Defense Ministry, said in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia on October 2 evening.
“If we hit with all our potential, they will feel it. The Ministry of Defense has officially announced several times that we have not used our full potential,” he said.
Hovhannisyan noted that Azerbaijan has switched to using its largest caliber weapons, in particular, the Israeli -manufactured operational-tactical missile system LORA.
According to official Armenian sources, some 2,300 Azerbaijani soldiers have been killed in the fighting against Nagorno-Karabakh since September 27 morning when Azerbaijan launched a large-scale offensive against Nagorno-Karabakh and another 3,400 have been wounded.
