U.S. President Joe Biden may talks with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan today, the ANKA news agency reported.
Diplomats have been working to set up the call, which would be the first between Biden and Erdoğan since the former’s inauguration in January. Biden has yet to give a positive response to Turkey’s request, ANKA said on Friday.
The conversation between the two leaders would come the day before Biden is expected to recognise a genocide of Armenians by the Ottoman Empire early last century.
