US President Joe Biden said that he did not think Russian President Vladimir Putin would use a tactical nuclear weapon in the war with Ukraine, in a CNN interview broadcast on Tuesday.
Biden, asked by CNN anchor Jake Tapper how realistic he believed it would be for Putin to use a tactical nuclear weapon, responded: “Well, I don’t think he will.”
He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a “rational actor who has miscalculated significantly.”
Is there a recession in sight?
Biden added that he did not think there would be a recession, but that if it happened it would only be “very slight.”
“I don’t think there will be a recession,” he told CNN.
“If it is, it’ll be a very slight recession. That is, we’ll move down slightly.”
