YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. The blocking of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan caused Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) to appear in a blockade, losing connection with Armenia and the rest of the world.
Moreover, three villages in Artsakh have come under double blockade – due to their location they have lost connection with the rest of Artsakh itself.
Mets Shen, Hin Shen, Yeghtsahogh and Lisagor communities of the Shushi region are under blockade, the Artsakh official information center said.
The Artsakh authorities said that the absence of connection between Stepanakert and other communities of Artsakh can lead to a humanitarian catastrophe. Artsakh authorities are unable to deliver essential supplies, including food (bread and flour) to these communities.
Authorities are maintaining contact with the blockaded communities and taking all possible measures to resolve urgent needs.
