Just in time for midterms.

The date has been set for the beginning of Madame President’s reign on Netflix’s House of Cards. On Tuesday, the streaming giant announced that the show’s sixth and final season will debut on Nov. 2, four days ahead of the midterm elections. Netflix also released a poster for season six in honor of the new President Underwood (Robin Wright), who looks like she’s more than ready to be commander-in-chief.
The poster, which includes blood dripping from Claire’s right hand, is of course an homage to the show’s first season, which debuted in 2013. Netflix confirmed last November that Kevin Spacey would no longer continue with the series following multiple sexual misconduct allegations. The final season will have eight episodes and feature new cast members including Diane Lane, Greg Kinnear, and Cody Fern.
Netflix previously teased a trailer in March with the new POTUS proclaiming, “We’re just getting started,” from the comfort of her new office. Four months later, President Underwood wished everyone a Happy Independence Day.

Now, who wants to analyze the shit out of this new still, which features the first female POTUS and a room full of (probably clueless) men?
