A number of importing companies will start distributing gasoline to the local market, Georges Brax – member of the syndicate of gas stations owners – said on Tuesday.
Brax told the National News Agency that many gas stations will re-open successively and that “we will witness a remarkable improvement” in the coming days.
He added that “three ships carrying more than 100 million liters of gasoline will unload their cargo by Wednesday, which will cover the market needs for at least two weeks.”
Brax urged the competent officials “to announce the process that will be adopted to permanently lift fuel subsidies” in order to prevent what could create “confusion” or “a new crisis of another kind.”
