YEREVAN, November 26. /ARKA/. Starting from November 25, residents of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and others can enter and exit it only through the Berdzor-Stepanakert highway, the Artsakh Info Center said.
It said in pursuance of the trilateral statement adopted on November 9 by Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan to end hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Shahumyan region came under the control of Azerbaijan and the Sotk-Martakert highway that connected Armenia with Artsakh has been closed.
Azerbaijani soldiers and military entered today the district of Kelbajar, the second of three regions Armenia is handing back under the November 9 deal.
Kelbajar, wedged between Karabakh and Armenia, was initially scheduled for handover on November 15 but the deadline was extended until November 25 for humanitarian reasons.
