The sources reported that a group of unidentified raiders attacked a position of the US-backed SDF militias in the village of al-Namliyeh in Northern Deir Ezzur, killing and wounding a number of SDF gunmen.
In the meantime, the SDF started making wide arrests in the townships of Kasha, Adhman and Mo’eiziliyeh in Northern Deir Ezzur after four SDF militias were killed near Konico oilfield.
The SDF has closed three of its military training camps in al-Sho’eitat region for one week due to insecurity and intensified attacks on its forces.
Also in a separate case, another SDF fighter was killed in an infighting in the village of al-Ji’eh.
Analysts now say that the SDF is not capable of providing security for its members without the US’ backup.
On Sunday, a bomb-laden vehicle went off near an SDF base in the center of al-Basireh township in Deir Ezzur province, killing at least 18 US-backed militias, including a commander.
Field sources said that the ISIL terrorists were possibly behind the blast.
