YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. The State Revenue Committee of Armenia reported Thursday that as part of the program of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, imports of certain types of products to the Eurasian Economic Union’s territory are exempted from customs duties.
In particular, certain kinds of medical products are exempted from the customs duty if, until September 30, 2020, the registration of the goods declaration in accordance with the customs procedure “Holidays for Domestic Consumption” was made and a permit for import of goods issued by the authorized executive body was submitted. The list consists of goods for the production of medicines, masks and gloves, disinfectants, vaccines, as well as medical refrigerators, syringes, catheters, stretchers and more. The department noted that the customs duty preference entered into force on March 16, 2020.
In accordance with another decision, some types of agricultural products are also exempted from customs duties if the registration of the goods declaration under the customs procedure mentioed above was made until June 30, 2020 inclusive. This list includes potatoes, onions, garlic, cabbage, carrots, rice, buckwheat, infant formula, medicines and more. The custom s duty preference entered into force on April 1, 2020.
