YEREVAN, January 14. /ARKA/. In 2019 Armenian tax authorities collected by 105 billion drams more in revenue than projected, David Ananyan, the chairman of the State Revenue Committee, told a news conference today.
He recalled that in 2019 the government was to collect 1.401 trillion drams in revenue, while the total collection rate amounted to 1.464 trillion drams.
Ananyan said also that as of October 1, 2019 the government’s debit debt to entrepreneurs stood at 56.4 billion drams, of which 42.8 billion drams were returned before December 31. As of January 1, the debit debt stood at 11.3 billion drams, of which about 6 billion drams were found non-refundable.
He said if the returned debts were added to the actual revenue collection, the later would be 1.507 trillion. drams, by 105 billion drams, more than projected.
Overall, according to Ananyan, in 2019 taxpayers declared tax liabilities in the amount of 1.650 trillion. drams, however, 170.4 billion drams were returned to them as debit debt, VAT refunds, mortgage benefits, and so on. ($1 – 479.26 drams).
