YEREVAN, June 14, /ARKA/. The government of Armenia approved today a bill to amend the law on organization of inspection of economic entities, which calls for eliminating a requirement that owners of entities are to be warned beforehand.
According to the head of prime minister’s staff Eduard Aghajanyan, economic entities, being warned in advance about inspection, eliminate the shortcomings and meet the requirements only on the day of inspection. He said the proposed change eliminates the requirement that economic entity are to be warned at least three days before it.
He said the Inspection Agency for Control of the Market receives periodic signals that petrol and compressed natural gas stations cheat motorists filling their tanks with less fuel.
The head of the Investigative Committee Hayk Grigoryan asked to consider the possibility of using the results of inspections as evidence in criminal cases.
